With 47 acres of forest, meadow, and rolling hills in Quechee, the Vermont Institute of Natural Science features 17 state-of-the-art raptor enclosures that house hawks, eagles, falcons, owls, and other birds of prey. In addition, the site has two songbird aviaries. Combining research with wild bird rehabilitation and public education, beginner and seasoned bird watchers will thrill over the stimulating exhibits, live bird and reptile programs, hikes and field trips. VINS also offers a classroom/meeting space, interpretive nature trails (one of which is ADA/ABA compliant), and a newly renovated 4-season pavilion designed for events, meetings, and live raptor programs. The naturally landscaped campus also hosts behind-the-scenes tours, nature camps, and environmental education programs. Visitors of all ages accommodated…and given the experience of a lifetime!
